Hole 1 Pro's Tips & Hole Guide

13963784931449

TRADITIONS 1,7,26,32 MX

This is a challenging opening hole, a slight dog leg right. There is OB all the way down the right, but with plenty of fairway to the left its best to aim left of centre. This will also give you the best line into the green. Beware of the ditch which runs just in front of the green as this catches lots of miss hits. Better to be long than short.

Hole 2 Pro's Tips & Hole Guide
HoleWhiteYellowParIndexRedParIndex
23733614528945

TRADITIONS 1,7,26,32 MX

A good par 4 with two ditches to negotiate plus OB on the right. The second ditch is 220yrd off the tee, so for the longer hitter club selection is key. You need to decide whether to lay up or go for it. The green is well protected with a big bunker short left and a ditch the runs to the right of the green and behind it. A well struck shot is required to hit and hold the green.

3135127317117317

TRADITIONS 1,7,26,32 MX

A short par 3 with an elevated green. This hole plays longer than it looks so an extra club needed. With OB for the fist100yds and down the right any miss hits can be severely punished. A par on this hole isn’t always so straight forward.

Hole 4 Pro's Tips & Hole Guide
HoleWhiteYellowParIndexRedParIndex
44113314127341

TRADITIONS 1,7,26,32 MX

A short but very tight par 4. Accuracy off the tee is key here as the fairway is very narrow with OB down the right side and trees and a ditch down the left. If you hit the fairway the next shot is pretty straight forward

5478463513407513

TRADITIONS 1,7,26,32 MX

This is the first of our par 5’s. It’s best to aim to hit the ball down the left to avoid the lake on the right. Its not always possible to reach in two as there is a big bunker to the left protecting this undulating green and a ditch to the right for those who fade the ball.

The second of our par 5’s this is straight forward but keep your tee shot to the right to avoid the 2 fairway bunkers on the left. For the longer hitters its possible to get on in 2 but make sure your second is well struck as there is a large green side bunker at the front of the green.

Hole 13 Pro's Tips & Hole Guide
HoleWhiteYellowParIndexRedParIndex
133933814836248

TRADITIONS 1,7,26,32 MX

This is a tough par 4 with water in play all the way down the right side. It requires a good tee shot down the left as the fairway slope towards the water. The further you hit it off the tee the narrower the fairway becomes. Even if you hit the fairway off the tee you still have to carry the lake in order to hit the green. The green is a tough 2 tier green with the lower tier being at the back of the green. It’s important you hit the ball on the tier in order to prevent 3 putting.

144013864435044

TRADITIONS 1,7,26,32 MX

On this hole a straight tee shot is required. Any shots going to the right will end up in the lake. The green is quite big and like an upturned saucer. Your approach shot must not be long as there is a ditch that runs behind the green.

A very short par three but far from easy. Trouble can be found either side of the green in form of ditches. The green is a two tier green sloping from back to front so again club selection is important.

Hole 16 Pro's Tips & Hole Guide
HoleWhiteYellowParIndexRedParIndex
16456443514429514

TRADITIONS 1,7,26,32 MX

Great par 5 with a double dog leg around water. OB left for the fist 250yds so your tee shot wants to be right of centre. A ditch runs across the fairway half way up so depending on how long you are off the tee will determine whether you lay up short of the ditch or try and carry it. If you take the ditch on make sure you stay left as there is a lake on the right. This should leave you a straight forward wedge in to the green.

Hole 17 Pro's Tips & Hole Guide
HoleWhiteYellowParIndexRedParIndex
174043704235142

TRADITIONS 1,7,26,32 MX

The hole with plenty of trouble. To begin with you have to carry two ditches to hit the Island fairway. A ditch runs down the right side, and a big oak tree sits in the middle of the fairway and another ditch crosses the fairway 240yds off the tee. You can hit your tee shot either side of the tree but there is more room to the left.
This will leave you with a mid iron into the green.

TRADITIONS 1,7,26,32 MX

Just like the 9th hole your tee shot is over a sleeper wall which is 190yds off the tee. for the shorter hitter its best to lay up on the first fairway. For the longer hitter it require a straight tee shot at the barbers pole. Be careful with your approach shot as anything long with end up in the lake at the back of the green.
